Nouns

Dragons – large lizard-like creatures that breathe fire

Knight – a soldier in the king’s army with high ranking

Lords

Vassals

Fairy, fairies, sprites – fictional creatures

Witch – a woman who casts magic

Wizard – male witch

Sorcerer, sorceress - someone who casts magic

Spear – a weapon with a long handle and a blade

Sword – a weapon with a long blade and a handle

Goblin, Dwarf, Elf – fictional creatures

Centaur- man’s head, horse’s body

Minotaur – bull’s head, human’s body

Crystal – a precious stone

Orb – a spherical object or ball

King, Queen, Prince, Princess – head of state in an empire

Empire – see kingdom

Kingdom – an area and its people ruled by a king

Colony – an area of land taken over by a mother country

Successor – the person who will take over the throne when the current king or queen die

Citizen – a resident

Nobleman- a man of great honour in the kingdom

Highness, Excellency, My Lord, Majesty – terms used to address a king or queen

Monarchy – members of the royal family

To impale – to stab right through

To joust – to argue, also to combat on horse with weapons

To slay – to kill

To cast (a spell)- to direct

To conjure – to summon (demons)

To conspire – to make a secret plan

To devise – to make, as in to devise a plan

To relinquish – to hand over, as in “He relinquished the crown.”

To yield – to surrender

To conquer – to overcome

To decimate- to destroy

 

Adjectives

Scaly – having scales as a texture

Iridescent –shining

Courageous -brave

Narcissistic – arrogant, in love with self

Delicate – frail, breakable

Resilient – tough

Equestrian – having to do with horses

Lowly- something or someone with little respect

Depraved- evil, corrupt

Malevolent – evil, mean-spirited

Benevolent – good, nice, loving

Frail – weak

Stalwart –strong

 

Adverbs

Heartily – energetically, as in to laugh heartily

Cunningly – cleverly

Falsely- wrongly

Courageously – to do so bravely

Unknowingly – being unaware

Humbly, modestly – to do something without being overly proud of it
